Industrial Dehumidifiers

The Scanair Industrial Dehumidifier uses a basic refrigeration technology used to remove heat and moisture from incoming air, and add heat to the air that is discharged. Hot, high pressure refrigerant gas is routed from the compressor to the condenser coil. The refrigerant is cooled and condensed by giving up its heat to the air that is about to be discharged from the unit. The refrigerant liquid then passes through a filter / drier and expansion valve which cause the refrigerant pressure and temperature to drop.  It next enters the evaporator coil where it absorbs heat from the incoming air and evaporates. The mixture of gas and liquid refrigerant enter the accumulator after leaving the evaporator coil. The accumulator prevents any liquid refrigerant from reaching the compressor. The compressor evacuates the cool refrigerant gas from the accumulator and compresses It to a high pressure and temperature to repeat the process. Industrial drying often requires removing humidity at a faster rate along with larger amounts of moisture. This can be achieved with Scanair industrial dehumidifiers.

Scanair industrial dehumidifiers are engineered for demanding process drying applications and incorporate latest in the industry leading designed uncontrolled. Package with enhanced futures and high performance refrigeration components are multiple refrigerant cooling injection technology used evaporator coil for optimum level dehumidification.  Product available with wide range from 150 Cfm To 15000 Cfm capacity will maintain between 30% To 40% RH available in standard Models. An custom built designed dehumidifier will maintain below 30% RH with the help of desiccant technology combined units.  Those units are designed new generation styled and built aesthetically to match the modern trend in equipment manufacturing.

Dehumidifiers for Pharmaceutical Production

Dehumidifiers are the most essential component in Pharmaceutical industry, where the rapid technological advances in the have focused the attention on a vast number of moisture control issues.  For example, the presence or absence of a specific amount of moisture in the processing area may be required to grow certain organic cultures.  Or, the presence of moisture may be absolutely necessary for the manufacture of a particular drug.  Similarly, the absence of moisture may be equally imperative for the production of some other drug.  Strict control of moisture is a key factor in the manufacture of most drugs and medicines.

Dehumidifiers play a central role in Pharmaceuticals, where the materials used have a physical affinity for moisture.  This can cause lumping or caking of powdered material.  Further, some powders that are bound into a capture or formed into a tablet under high pressures will adhere only when in a dry state, Humidity can cause a tablet to crumble, and in some cases, it can cause the drug to decompose and diminish in its therapeutic value. To assure consistently high quality drugs, the processing area and machinery must be surrounded by air whose dryness is accurately known with temperature and humidity under control.

Dehumidifiers for Chemical Production

In order to achieve the controlled air requirement listed above, refrigeration equipment alone becomes uneconomical, impractical and cumbersome to design, operate and maintain.  On the other hand desiccant type dehumidifiers combined with refrigeration can offer a simple and economical solution to controlling both temperature and humidity levels as low as necessary. The same sort of lumping and caking of powdered substances previously discussed is also a major problem in the industrial chemical production.  Dehumidifiers play a major role in preserving the chemicals intact, as some chemicals decompose in the presence of water vapor.  In other situations, water vapor can actually cause a chemical reaction that changes the character of the product. Atmospheric moisture is also a natural enemy to many grinding and pulverizing operations.  Water vapor in contact with the product can make it resilient and difficult to grind, causing it to cling to the grinding machine and defy pneumatic conveyance from one process area to another.
